ECC + Elementary

Dear Parents,

As the snow is falling again this week, it is heartwarming for me as I love falling snow, especially at Christmas. The snow falling and watching the students get on their snow clothes bring me back to my years in elementary school. On Wednesday morning, the ECC students were able to go sledding down the little ECC hill on sleds. It was such a fun time for the students who decided to try sledding.

As we end the first semester of the year, so much learning has happened in just this first half of the year. Over the break, it will help your child/children to keep reading to keep their minds working. Reading daily is a great way to keep learning and progressing over the holiday.

School Wide Announcements

Lost and found
If your child has lost any items, please have them check the lost and found collection point on the first floor near the cafeteria. All items not claimed by Friday, Dec. 22, will be donated to a local charity.

ECC and Elementary Christmas Concert–Rescheduled
Tuesday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium

Monday, December 18 – No after-school activities
All students will need to leave the campus by 3:30 pm. There will be no 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm bus runs on this day.

Last day of semester 1 – December 22
Friday, December 22, will be a half-day for students. School will finish at 11:30 a.m., and buses will leave at 11:45 a.m.

First day of semester 2 – January 9
Tuesday, January 9, will be the first day of semester 2.

Classes will have Christmas Parties and Goodbye Parties so please be sure to read the messages from the teachers regarding the parties.

Secondary

7th and 8th Grade Robotics
Date: Friday, January 12 to Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Open to Robotics club members

Please check your inbox for an email from Mr. Bassett if your child is interested in going.

Science Fair 2024
Open to all 9-12 graders and will be held in late November 2024. The main rules of the Science Fair are as follows:

1: The project must be 100% original.

2: You may have no more than three team members.

3: You must complete the project approval process BEFORE you perform your experiment/build your device.

4: You must have a TIS staff Science Advisor that you will check in with at scheduled intervals starting in August 2024.

Any interested parties should send an email to Mr. Lundy at john.lundy@tiseagles.com so they can be added to the TIS Science Fair Canvas page for resources and additional directions.
